HF developments
John Gould, G3WKL, RSGB HF Manager, is currently focusing on the following issues.
- The introduction of the new 40m Bandplan on 29 March 2009
- The 5MHz Working Group is working with RSGB HQ and Ofcom to facilitate the issuing of NoVs for experiments at 5MHz
- 5MHz Experiment: work is underway re-architecting the 5MHz database with a plan to provide it with online access. In addition a data clean-up task is underway and the initial work is started on the main analysis task
- PLT: a watchful eye is being kept on developments from Ofcom
- The gradual development of new digital modes, including digital audio, is being closely monitored, with its specific interest in band-planning
- Experimental internet gateway facilities for emergency communication purposes
- Support for the temporary commemorative/scientific studies beacon
- Support given from the DXpedition Fund to various deserving DXpeditions
