National IARU Member Societies Worldwide

Addresses and Internet details of all other national societies can be found at: International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) - the IARU is the body which coordinates the work of all of the national societies, and liaises with the ITU.

National and International Government & Reference Sites

International Telecommunication Union
The United Nations organisation which coordinates all telecommunications regulations (including amateur radio) worldwide.

OFCOM
Agency which regulates radio in the UK. Information on licence regulations, International operation for UK amateurs and on operating in the UK for Amateurs from abroad.

National Radiological Protection Board (NRPB) - Reference Levels for UK Amateur Radio Bands
This is a summary of the NRPB guidance on exposure to electromagnetic fields as applicable to those frequencies authorised for use by amateur radio stations in the UK.

Geoff Brown, G4ICD's site has huge amounts of mainly VHF/UHF information, including a very large 6m section.

Prolific radio and electronics author Ian Poole, G3YWX runs two sites that include a variety of information useful for radio amateurs. One site named Electronics and Radio Today - www.electronics-radio.com is ideal for those learning about electronics and radio and it has a section devoted to amateur radio and one on constructional techniques as well as having many other sections. The second is named Radio-Electronics.Com - www.radio-electronics.com and is more advanced but includes approachable summaries of a variety of technologies and has sections on radio propagation, radio receivers, circuits, wireless and cellular, etc.

Serving radio amateurs since 1992 www.qrz.com has masses of amateur radio information.
