| 500kHz NoVs extended to 2012 |
On Wednesday December 16 Ofcom announced that following representations made by the RSGB, the period of validity for 501 to 504kHz Notices of Validity is to be extended. Having negotiated with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Ofcom has extended the validity period to 29 February 2012. The NoVs were originally planned to expire at the end of February 2010. Welcoming the announcement, RSGB General Manager Peter Kirby, G0TWW, said “This is another fine example of the RSGB working closely with Ofcom to the benefit of all UK radio amateurs”.
