Today, 5 July, sees the closing hours of the RSGB VHF NFD. It finishes at 1400, using all modes on the bands between 50MHz and 1.3GHz. The exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
Today, 5 July, it’s the RSGB 144MHz Backpackers Contest between 1100 and 1500. Using all modes on the 144MHz band, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
6 July is the RSGB 80m Club Championship between 1900 and 2030. It’s the CW leg and the exchange is signal report and serial number.
7 July sees the RSGB 144MHz UK Activity Contest and Club Championship taking place between 1900 and 2130. Using all mode the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
Don’t forget to listen out for GB7HQ, which is the RSGB’s headquarters station during the IARU World HF Championship which will take place on 11 and 12 July 2009. Since 2003 when GB5HQ/GB7HQ started up, over 88,000 contacts have been made during the contest by the headquarters station. So, look out for GB7HQ during the contest and work them on as many bands and modes as you can.
On 14 July, the RSGB 432MHz UK Activity Contest takes place from 1900 to 2130. Using all modes, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
On 19 July, there will be an Amateur Radio DF event at Crompton Moor, Oldham, grid reference SD951100. There will be 3.5 and 144MHz events.
