What's happening?
To build on the success of previous years, the Radio Society of Great Britain is again supporting the British Association for the Advancement of Science during National Science & Engineering Week 2009. This event is one of the world's largest celebrations of science and engineering with an estimated 3,500 events and 1.4 million attendees taking part in 2008.

Organise an event
The RSGB would like our affiliated clubs to reach out and interest people in our hobby. If you can organise an event locally, which will interest people outside the amateur community, we would like to support you. Clubs can organise anything from a simple talk at the club or school visit through to some of the huge events that were run last year. The RSGB is prepared to provide of charge a variety of professional leaflets, posters and presentations for you to use, however we in turn need your support to run the events. A full list of the materials available and an order form can be found below. It must be returned by the 13 February 2009 so we can organise sending these materials to you in time for your event.

RSGB publicity for your event
The RSGB would also like to publicise your event in the pages of RadCom and on the Science Week Events page, so please send us details of your event both before and after it takes place.
This is an opportunity to build for the future of amateur radio whilst enhancing the hobby we currently enjoy and we shouldn't miss it. So please help us make National Science & Engineering week a success and organise an event this year.
