HF developments

John Gould, G3WKL, RSGB HF Manager, is currently focusing on the following issues;
- The introduction of the new 40m Bandplan on 29th March 2009
|
- The 5MHz Working Group is working with RSGB HQ and Ofcom to facilitate the issuing of NoVs for experiments at 5MHz.
|
- 5MHz Experiment: work is underway re-architecting the 5MHz database with a plan to provide it with online access. In addition a data clean-up task is underway and the initial work is started on the main analysis task.

- PLT: a watchful eye is being kept on developments from Ofcom.
|
- The gradual development of new digital modes, including digital audio, is being closely monitored, with its specific interest in band-planning.

- Experimental Internet gateway facilities for emergency communication purposes
|
- Support for the temporary commemorative / scientific studies beacon
|
- Support given from the DXpedition Fund to various deserving DXpeditions.
