Extension of the 5MHz NoV: 1 August 2006 until 30 June 2010

Following a request by the RSGB for an extension of our access to 5MHz, Ofcom have announced the agreement reached with the MoD to extend the period whereby amateur radio (full) licensees ("Full Licensees") may operate stations on specific frequencies in the 5MHz band.

Please note that all existing 5MHz NoV holders, who wish to operate during this new period, will need to apply for the new 5MHz NoV; the RSGB expects that this will be a relatively quick and routine re-issue.  New applications for NoVs will continue as in the past.
